Connor TWP - Richard W. "Dick" Hebert, 78, died December 30, 2020, in Caribou following an extended illness. He was born in Caribou, January 22, 1942, the son of the late Wilfred and Blanche (Brisette) Hebert. Mr. Hebert was a graduate of Caribou High School class of 1960, attended Husson College, and was the office manager for Theriault Tire and Equipment for 47 years. He married Barbara Beaupre, on August 1, 1963. Dick was a longtime faithful member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was a fourth-degree member of the Fred V. Brescia Council 1870 Knights of Columbus. Surviving in addition to his wife of 57 years, Barbara, of Connor; are three daughters, Pamela Kieffer of Saco, Sandra Raymond of Arundel, and Kathy Coty and husband, Gerald of Caribou; one sister; and brother-in-law, Gloria Kane and husband, Tom; seven grandchildren, Jacob Kieffer and wife, Emily, Rebecca Goodman and husband, Austin, Brooke Raymond, Taylor Raymond and fiancé D

He was born in Houlton, Maine on August 27, 1927 and attended schools in Houlton and Monticello. When he was 17, he contracted tuberculosis and spent the next two years at the Maine State Sanatorium in Hebron. On December 27, 1951 he married Mary and together they raised five children. In 1947, Roger worked for the Maine Turnpike as one of its first toll collectors. He then went to Bliss Portland as an electrician where his love for the union was born. Roger was with the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM-AW) as a Union Representative for 40 years, of which 24 were as a Grand Lodge Representative.
