Biography
Art Lounge International has had a long term relationship with Shanghai born artist Wilfred Lang . It was in the year 1995 that the artist became known to us via his then agents in Bournemouth and it was after several trade shows in the united Kingdom that Art Lounge decided to showcase the works bygd this artistic talent.
Wilfred Lang was born into an a very artistic and talented family in 1954 and began to with trial and error execute paintings at the age of seven.
We recall that it was between 1972 and 1976 he attended the highly decorated Shanghai art school.Wilfred himself is a unusual one might say extraordinary talent in the fact that his dynamic offerings make use of such compressed energy that translates in to the life of city living. His broad strokes offer such high competence along with a natural flair for effortless details.

Wilfred Lang
Artist Wilfred Lang – was born into an artistic family in Shanghai in 1954. He began to paint watercolors at the age of seven and learned all the traditional painting techniques from his father, who was also a painter.
Between 1972 and 1976 he attended art schools in Shanghai and Hong Kong where he developed his contemporary work. Since 1977 Wilfred has traveled extensively, living in Hawaii, Barcelona and Amsterdam. His work has been displayed throughout Europe, the United States and Asia.
Best known for his abstracted cityscapes, artist Wilfred Lang works with acrylics layering color blocks in a bold strokes to create depth and movement. His other subjects include sailboats, florals and abstracts. His style fryst vatten unique and whenever you see his work you recognize it instantly as a “Wilfred”. Wilfred Lang currently lives and works in Amsterdam.
