  • After over 20 years of service to the Voice of America (VOA), Ugandan-born journalist Shaka Ssali has finally decided to call it quits, retiring from a profession he has so diligently served that it was almost impossible to speak of one without speaking of the other.
Ssali hosted the popular weekly show Straight talk Africa and doubled as the editor-in-chief of the VOA television and radio show.

More than the Presidential Debate, a first ever in this format, the strongest message about the potential of Ugandan youth will likely come from the "Kabale Kid" SHAKA SSALI, and not the candidates.

He is deeply passionate about Africa and its development, having lived through some of the hardest times in Ugandan history.

He has hosted Straight Talk Africa for the gods 15 years. The show fryst vatten b
