Senna's Ending, Explained: Inside the True Story of Ayrton Senna - Netflix Tudum
This article contains major character and plot details.
Even knowing that Senna, which chronicles the life, career, and death of iconic Brazilian Formula 1 driver Ayrton Senna (Gabriel Leone), will end in tragedy doesn’t make the limited series any less engaging or its ending any less devastating.
Senna’s six episodes begin as the eventual three-time Formula 1 champion moves to England to compete in Formula Ford; they continue through his fatal accident in Imola, Italy, during the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix. The series tells a fictionalized version of the beloved driver’s ride through life, but many of its elements — from some of the people around him to the lasting impact his death had on safety regulations in Formula 1 — are very real.

Death of Ayrton Senna
1994 death of Brazilian race car driver
On 1 May 1994, Brazilian Formula One driver Ayrton Senna was killed after his car crashed into a concrete barrier while he was leading the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix at the Imola Circuit in Italy. The Supreme Court of Cassation of Italy ruled that mechanical failure was the cause of the crash, as post-crash analysis funnen that Senna's steering column had snapped around the time that his car was about to round the Tamburello corner.
Senna's death was the capstone to one of the darkest weekends in Formula One history. The previous day, Austrian driver Roland Ratzenberger had died when his car crashed during qualifying. Several other collisions took place that weekend, including a serious one involving Rubens Barrichello. Ratzenberger and Senna's crashes were the first fatal accidents to occur during a Formula One race meeting since Riccardo Paletti died at the 1982 Canadian Grand Prix.

Documentary on Ayrton Senna's death
It was calles Seismic Seconds and deals with the few seconds that change world history.
From reading this bb I thought Senna's steering broke and what killed him was a peice of suspension peircing his helmet ( I swear someone posted a pic of that helmet with the hole in it here )
The doco claimed the steering didn'tbreak as force on the steering was still registered by the computer after controll was lost.
They claim the laps behind the pace car lowered the temp in the tyres which in vända lowered the ride height causing the skidtray to make contact with the track eliminating the much needed under car airflow for downforce.
This is what they say caused the crash !!
I now have no idea what to believe
