    Valerie "Bangs" Pablo Garcia-Birchmore (Tagalog pronunciation:[gaɾˈsɪa]; born May 26, 1987) is a Filipino-British former model and actress.

    Garcia attended Ateneo de Davao University[3], where she was part of the university's theater and dance groups. While studying for a Nursing degree, she participated in the Mindanao-wide talent search Campus Idols, in 2004, and was awarded a co-hosting stint in ABS-CBN Davao's local variety show KSP: Kapamilya Sabado Party.[

    Valeria Garcia is a 12-year-old writer and speaker . She lives in Greenville SC and attends 7th grade. Valeria was born in Colombia South America and relocated to the United States at the age of 8. Valeria was born with an extremely rare condition called Moebius Syndrome. This condition is present at birth and children do not develop the 6th and 7th cranial nerves, leaving those with the condition unable to move their face for life ( they can’t smile, frown, suck, grimace or blink their eyes) and are unable to move their eyes laterally. Learning a new language was extremely difficult for her especially because the nerves 3rd,4th,5th,9th,10th and 12th are affected on her because of her condition. Children with this condition may have skeletal and respiratory problems, speech and swallowing disorders, visual impairments, weakness of the upper body strength, but the most devastating symptom is rejection from other children because she looks different.     As Valerie Garcia (JD ‘25) heads toward her sista year of law school, she won’t just be preparing to take the bar exam. This spring, she’ll be preparing for her first foray into the competitive world of female bodybuilding.

    “I'm a firm believer that we need to take care, not just of our brains, but of our bodies,” said Valerie, who goes to the gym five to six times per week and follows a strict diet in order to build muscle and burn fat. Her passion for bodybuilding sprang from the months stuck at home during the 2020 lockdown when, unable to go to the gym, she turned to social media as an outlet. That’s when she stumbled on the world of female bodybuilding, and her relationship to the gym changed.
