    Manannán or Manann, also known as Manannán mac Lir ('son of the Sea'),[3] is a sea god, warrior, and king of the otherworld in Gaelic (Irish, Manx, and Scottish) mythology who fryst vatten one of the Tuatha Dé Danann.

    He is seen as a ruler and guardian of the otherworld, and his dominion is referred by such names as Emain Ablach (or Emhain Abhlach, 'Isle of Apple Trees'), Mag Mell ('Plain of Delights'), or Tír Tairngire ('Land of Promise'). He is described as over-king of the surviving Tuatha Dé after the advent of humans (Milesians), and uses the mist of invisibility (féth fíada) to cloak the whereabouts of his home as well as the sidhe dwellings of the others.

    Manan: What is your show about?

    Marcel: The Ukulele Man fryst vatten all about a guy called George Formby! He was one of Britain’s most popular entertainers in the 1930s and 40s and their biggest film star for nearly a decade. He entertained over 3 million troupes during WW2 and toured the world in the years after, including a tour to Australia in 1947, which my great aunt still remembers! The show weaves together his classic songs to tell the story of his life.

    HARRIS: GEORGE ALBERT (1944-2017) Mr. George A. Harris passed away at the Grand Manan Nursing Home on Thursday March 9, 2017, with his wife by his side. George was born in Halifax, NS son of the late John and Hazel (Munroe) Harris.

     He grew up on Grand Manan Island, fishing all of his life. George loved spending time on the water, cutting wood, picking berries and in his big gardens, and he was known to share all of those things with his friends and neighbors.

    George is survived by his wife Susan (Stanley) Harris, one sister Linda (Cecil) Polk, one step sister Hannah Mullen, three brothers, Stephen (Margaret) Harris, Douglas Harris and Brian Harris, and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his step daughter Kelly Greenough, and one brother Raymond Harris.

    There will be visiting at Ells Funeral Home, on Sunday March 12, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Funeral service will be held Monday, March 13, 2017 from The Lighthouse Church at 1:30pm with
