I have stayed away from the latest Davido news, because of the crass political undertone. But, this...any Nigerian artiste -- in fact, any artiste -- should be worried about losing their local base.
I have seen a trend with performers and entertainers overtime, and realized that the greatest in any particular clime and even globally, will be the one whose boots are planted in the home soil the strongest.
So, it's often a mistake when Nigerian artistes think they can stay international, but have a loose grip on their local base.
Always prioritize your local base, even if you are a South Sudanese artiste with your eye on the international market.
That's why I, somewhat, believe Burna Boy is going to pay a price for slighting his Nigerian base, even if he thinks he is right to do so.
