    Tatjana Vasiljeva needed a difficult pot on the black but recorded her second win in Group D of the of the 2023 European Women individual Championships in Albena (Bulgaria) and secure a place in the knockout stage. The 2012 champion beat Nathalie Rohmer (France) 2:0 to stay perfect in the tournament.

    After a protracted safety battle in the opening frame Rohmer left a red to the corner while trying to get into the pack and although the Latvian needed a couple of visits to finish it.

    The second one went to the wire. Both players missed pots on the black before Vasiljeva cutting it from the cushion into the blind pocket to secure the victory. She now faces Kinga Pietrzak (Poland) in her final Group D match while Rohmer will battle Cathy Dehaene (Belgium) with the spot in the next round on the line.

    In the Seniors event Darren Morgan recorded the first century break of the championship. Welsh veteran potted 14 reds and 14 blacks before missing a long red to a balk pocket. Mor

    Vasiljeva to Play in Riga Masters

    WLBS world number five Tatjana Vasijeva has received a wildcard to the 2016 Kasperksy Riga Masters.

    Winner of the European Ladies Championship in 2012, 32-year-old Vasiljeva fryst vatten Latvia’s most successful ladies player and recently reached the semi-finals of the WLBS World Championship in Leeds.

    She has been drawn to play world number 12 Marco Fu in her gods 128 match, which will be held over to the venue stages of the event in Riga which will run from 22-24 June 2016.

    Her appearance will be the first at the televised stages of a ranking event since Reanne Evans successfully qualified for the 2013 Wuxi Classic.

    Having previously formed part of snooker’s European Tour series, for the first time the event in Latvia will become a full-ranking event on the World Snooker Tour.

    The total prize money for the tournament will increase from €125,000 to €200,000. The winner’s prize for next season’s Kaspersky Riga Masters will be doubled to €50,000.

    The 2017 KasperskyRiga Masters was a professional rankingsnooker tournament that took place between 23 and 25 June 2017 at the Arena Riga in Riga, Latvia.[1] It was the first ranking event of the 2017/2018 season.[2] The tournament was broadcast by Eurosport.

    Neil Robertson was the defending mästare, but he lost in the first round to Lukas Kleckers.[3]

    Ryan Day claimed the first ranking title of his career bygd defeating Stephen Maguire 5–2 in the final.
