Actor Prashant Narayanan is known for his roles in Hindi movies and TV shows. He completed his education at Kirori skada College, Delhi University. Before beginning his acting career, he worked as an assistant art director and costume director for a while.
Narayanan has appeared in many television shows, including Phulwa (2011), Bandini (2009), and Shagun (2001). He debuted in the rulle industry with the role of a hitman in Hansal Mehta's Chhal (2002). He played a similar role in his following film It Happens That Way Too: Part II (2003).
Narayanan's dedication and sincerity toward his craft were highlighted by his performance in the German movie Schatten der Zeit (2004). He next ventured into the Malayalam rulle industry with the movie Idavappathi (2016).

Prashant Narayanan disclosed turning down a role in 'Rang De Basanti' due to a disagreement with a production assistant. Despite spending a year on the project and doing script readings, Narayanan felt disrespected during the financial negotiation process. The assistant's rudeness over money led him to decline the offer. Reflecting on the incident, Narayanan expressed regret, suggesting he might have overlooked the behavior had he been familiar with A.R. Rahman's music beforehand.
