John Cogliano
Former Massachusetts Secretary of Transportation
John Cogliano is a former Massachusetts Secretary of Transportation and Chairman of the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority. He was appointed to the position by GovernorMitt Romney in May 2005. In 2007 Governor Deval Patrick replaced Cogliano with Bernard Cohen.
Early life and education
[edit]Cogliano grew up in Canton, Massachusetts, where his family ran a Plant nursery.[1]
He graduated from Boston College with a grad in political science and economics and later studied Administration and Management at Harvard University.[2]
Cogliano worked at his family's nursery until 1991 when his father and uncle decided to sell the business.[1]

Matthew J. Amorello
American politician
Matthew John Amorello (born March 15, 1958) is a former Massachusetts state senator and former chairman of the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority who presided over the Central Artery/Third Harbor Tunnel Project (Big Dig) from 2002 to 2006. The Massachusetts Turnpike Authority is the agency that was in charge of the Big Dig project.
Early life
[edit]Amorello was born on March 15, 1958, in Worcester, Massachusetts. He graduated from Grafton Memorial High School, Assumption College (B.A.), American University (M.P.A.), and Suffolk University Law School (J.D.).[1] Prior to running for office, he worked for the Environmental Protection Agency as a budget analyst and wetlands protection specialist. He was also vice chairman of the Grafton, Massachusetts, conservation commission.[2]

[edit]Shortly after graduating from law school, Amorello ran for the First Worcester and M
