Wissam Smayra (; born April 8, 1974) is a Lebanese rulle director, screenwriter, and producer. He is known for directing the comedy-drama film Perfect Strangers (2022), as well as being an executive producer on Academy Award for Best Foreign Film nominated Capernaum (2018).

A Saudi television star has earned death threats from hardline Islamists for using comedy to mock and ridicule the Islamic State terror group.
'Selfie', a sketch comedy show which debuted last week on Saudi-owned pan-Arab satellite channel MBC, has won praise from influential voices in the Middle East for daring to mock ISIS.
But the show's Saudi star Nasser al-Qasabi has already received murderous threats from the terror group's legion of supporters on social media. One message threatening to behead the comedian over the next 'few days' has already been retweeted more than 3,000 times.
