Giuseppe Masseria was born on 17 January in Menfi, Sicily, Italy, and he arrived in the United States in Masseria joined Giuseppe Morello's Sicilian gang in the Harlem neighborhood of New York City, and he got to know men such as Gaetano Reina and Salvatore D'Aquila. Giuseppe "Joe" Masseria is an Italian bootlegger and one of the most powerful and feared Mafia bosses in New York City, where he is known as "Joe the Boss".
At his peak, he was the most powerful Italian-American Mafia boss in New York and in the whole country.
