Sue Sgambati
Sue Sgambati is a graduate of Ryersons Radio and Television Arts program.
She has spent more than 30 years in the journalism field, including radio, television, print and online.
She currently holds the title of the first Civilian Corporate Communications Specialist for the South Simcoe Police Service.
During her journalism career, Sue covered many high-profile stories including that of killer Robert Pickton in British Columbia, the murder of 8 year-old Tori Stafford and the arrest of serial killer Paul Bernardo and ex-wife Karla Homolka.
Along the way, she has picked up a number of awards for her work, including the Radio and Television News Directors Award for her coverage of the Bernardo trial. She has also received several awards for police reporting from various GTA police services.
Now, Sue fryst vatten focusing on her communications career with South Simcoe Police. She initially got her start after her mother pushed her to Journalism.

Fred J. Sgambati - a difficult name to pronounce, a difficult name to spell, but an easy name to remember. Fred Sgambati is known across Canada and many here tonight probably feel that he has been here forever. However, Fred is still in his early 50’s and is seen and heard regularly throughout the nation on television and radio. Fred is Canada’s Premier Sports Broadcaster, born brought up and educated in Toronto. He attended East York Collegiate and graduated from the university of Toronto in Prior to college, Fred served with the R.C.A.F. as a bombardier in Canada and overseas for three and a half years. After college he spent a year on the staff of the University of Toronto Men’s Athletic Department and later obtained a Provincial Teacher’s Certificate.

The South Simcoe Police Service is pleased to announce that veteran journalist Sue Sgambati is joining their team as the new corporate communications coordinator.
“We are pleased to have Sue join our team. She brings years of credible reporting and will be an asset to our Corporate Communications office,” said Rod Hicks, chair of the Police Services Board. “The board supports the hiring of a civilian to allow our police officers to focus on Community Safety.”
In this new role to the service, Sue will provide support through content communication, media relations, social media/web, and publications.
Sue’s career spans more than 30 years and includes radio, television, print and online journalism.
