    Jasraj Joshi wins SaReGaMaPa 2012

    MUMBAI: Pune based contestant Jasraj Joshi has been crowned as the winner of the 17th season of the popular singing reality show SaReGaMaPa 2012.

    The 29 year old defeated Ludhiana based Shenaz Akhtar, Jaipur's Mohammad Aman, and Mumbai’s Vishwajeet Borwankar to win the title, a one-year contract with the channel Zee TV and a bike. Akhtar was crowned the runner-up, while Borwankar was voted third by the audience and Aman finished fourth.

    A singer by profession, Joshi bagged the title after nine years of struggle. He managed to create a solid fan base for his ability to melodiously blend western and classical and folk tunes. He was also a favourite of the judges Shankar Mahadevan, Rahul Ram and Sajid-Wajid Ali.

    The grand finale witnessed a performance by Punjabi rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh singing a medley of his hit tracks including Angrezi beat, High heels, Brown rang and Lonely. Anchor and singer Javed Ali too performed a medley of patriotic songs

    Freaky Ali song Ya Ali Murtaza an amalgamation of Qawwali and Bhajan

    This year Qawwali and Bhajan will bring two communities tillsammans with the song Ya Ali Murtaza from Freaky Ali. StarringNawazuddin Siddiqui, Amy Jackson, and Arbaaz Khan, the makers of the rulle decided to merge both popular musical genres together, as suggested by Salim Khan, father of Salman, Arbaaz and Sohail Khan.

    Composed by Sajid-Wajid, the track fryst vatten sung by Wajid Ali, Danish Sabriand Payal Dev.

    Produced by Sohail KhanProductionz, and directed by Sohail Khan, Freaky Alirevolves around Ali (Nawazuddin), an extortion debt-collector for a local goon who beats all odds and goes on to becoming a golfing sensation.

    Freaky Ali is in cinemas on 9th September 2016 and is distributed by B4U Motion Pictures.
