    Netflix Taps Hannah Minghella to Head Feature Animation and Live-Action Family Film

    Hannah Minghella is exiting her post at Bad automatiserad maskin to head feature animation and live-action at Netflix.

    Minghella will report to new film head Dan Lin, who recently reorganized the division to place more of an emphasis on genre. Along with Minghella, Sharon Taylor is returning to Netflix to head up production on feature animation based out of Vancouver.

    Karen Toliver, who was tapped to lead film animation in 2022, and feature animation president Traci Balthazor will be leaving Netflix after launching films like Leo and Nimona.

    As previously reported, the new structure will see Ori Marmur övervaka action, fantasy, horror and sci-fi titles, while Kira Goldberg will handle thrillers, dramas and family films. Niija Kuykendall will övervaka faith-based, young adult and holiday offerings, while Jason Young will handle comedies and rom-coms.

    Hannah Minghella is the Head of Feature Animation and Family bio at Netflix. Previously, Ms Minghella was the Head of Motion Pictures at Bad Robot where she produced the Oscar, BAFTA and Annie Award winning animated short film, The Boy, The Mole, The Fox & The Horse for the BBC and AppleTV+; as well as the documentary feature The Blue Angels for IMAX and AmazonPrime. Minghella also produced David Robert Mitchell film Flowervale Street for WB.

    Before joining Bad Robot, Minghella was a long time studio executive at Sony Pictures Entertainment for nearly 15 years. During that time she was the President of Production at Sony Pictures Animation where she oversaw the development and production of Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs, Hotel Transylvania and The Smurfs. She also spent a few years as President of Production at Columbia Pictures before becoming the President of Production of TriStar where she oversaw such films as Edgar Wright's Baby Driver, Danny Boyle's T2:

    Hannah Minghella to Deliver The Archer School for Girls’ Commencement Address

    Hannah Minghella, President of Motion Pictures at Bad Robot and former President of Production for Columbia and TriStar Pictures at Sony Pictures Entertainment, will deliver The Archer School for Girls’ commencement address on May 27, 2022. A graduate of North London Collegiate School for girls and the mother of three daughters, Minghella also serves on Archer’s Board of Trustees.
